CHECKER
Slide. Jump. Jump jump. Slide.
The man moves across graduated space,
hurtling the opposition, angling

At last, he gains the desired berth,
receives the coveted crown,
which, like all achievement,
signifies nothing more than the freedom
to return to the conflict.
